Hna Nicia

Hola!!! 

When we start a change 6 weeks looks really long when we recieve our new ajendas and see all those blank pages and to have two changes in a area and with my comp sounds like a long time but how fast time goes by and what suprises happen in the mission. 

First I want to talk about this week, me and my comp got to see the baptism of a hno that our DL have been working with this investigator always spent Pdays with us showing us cool waterfalls and valconos so all of our district knows him, we have all been part of his process to be baptised this last friday he was baptised with almost all of our zone in his baptism. It was amazing the service and to hear him share his testimony after he had been wanted to be baptised the last change but had some problems he had to fix before but we feel he needed this time to prove his testimony and now he is going to be a strong member. It was cool to see the rama that he was part of they all were so excited for him and so were we! 

We also got to have our Investagador see the baptism he liked it very much and liked talking to the other elders. He has such a strong desire to know more and to be baptised all the elders where very amazed at the Hnas Piles Investigador!! The next day he had he his intervista and passed!!!! He is basicaly ready to be baptised we are so excited for him. He shows that everyone has there time to except the Gospil he talked about when he lived in Jutiapa and the elders invited him to church but he couldnt because of his work and also the Elder that was here in progreso said he also invited him to church or saw him. In this time right now this hno can come to church and is living here in progreso and was able to visit with us and going to be baptised!

Here in my mission we recieve calls the Sunday after 6 weeks to say if we have changes or not then we go to the change meeting to recieve our comp and new area but we dont know who or where! Sunday night me and hna Zelaya where so nervous so we cleaned our house its really clean and ran around til 11 when we recieved the call. We both guessed that one of us was going to have changes cuz we both had time together and here in progreso but we never thought they would take us both out again!!! We both have changes they are closeing the area but going to re open with other missionaires we think the Hna leaders because our area is closer to the other hnas, But we thought the elders where joking with us cuz of course they like to joke about important things! We came to Progreso together and we are going to leave together! 

Im really sad to leave this area I have LOVED it here all the people and the members and when we have a baptism this next week we are nervse and hope the new missionaies take care of our RC and FECHA! But changes are part of the mission and live that we need to change to learn and grow, even when we dont want to! SO here I go again to see where god wants me to go and with who!!! Yay the mission!

Hola from Graneros!!

Looks like both the Boully sisters had changes and I was pretty excited to have a companion from Guatemala but apparently the Lord thinks that Nicia has Guatemala pretty much covered because at the last minute they had a special change and now I am with Hna. Sanhuesa from....... Chile!! She's from Concepcion and is the only Hna. in the mission from Chile which is super awesome in a lot of ways!! She understands exactly what the people are saying always! because even though I've had a bunch of Latina compañeras Chileno is really different and sometimes even people who speak Español as a first language don't understand what the people are saying for all of the Chilenismos. and she helps me out when I make mistakes in my spanish! I'm going to learn so much this change!! I'm so excited! I've been thinking a lot about my two trainers this week because Hna. Sanhuesa tambien was compañion to Hna. Hughes and now I'm in Graneros the old sector de Hna. Hobbs! Update on Graneros: It's another small town, even smaller than Rengo but where Rengo is a bit dry with very few trees, Graneros has all sorts of green and it's super pretty!! Also there is a Nestle factory in the center of the town so the whole town smells like coffee or hot chocolate sometimes, it makes me think of the lobby of a hotel. It makes me want to eat chocolate all the time... Sometimes it's not so fun though certain times of the day when we walk past the factory and it smells like really really strong, bitter coffee and we joke that we're disobeying the Word of Wisdom breathing in so much Coffee. I've also heard from some members that it's hard for investigators or recent converts that learn about the WoW and are trying to stop drinking coffee and walk past the factory and it's like a million times harder to quit or so they say. We live in a cute little house and next door lives an adorable puppy and cat that like to escape into our yard and wait for us when we get home! It's so cute!! Another fun fact: the bishop here is gringo. Hna. Sanhuesa told me but she's so sweet and quiet that I didn't understand what she said and on our first day together I was a little slow to ask her to repeat again what she had said so when we went to a reunion with him he addressed me in English and I was like "Wow your English is really good!" and he was like "Uh yeah I'm from Alaska" and my companion had a good time laughing at me :P Apparently he served his mission here, came back, got married and stuck around. He's a bit odd, or maybe it's just weird for me to talk to a gringo after so much time with Chilenos no mas. The members here are great and the mission leader is super involved which is always great. He set up a cool way for us to bring more families into the church, every friday we have an activity in a cancha, it's called it's like a soccer/basketball court, mix thingy and we invite all the kids in the area to come play games and sports with us. They, the kids, call us Tia or Aunt but they all know we're missionaries and their parents and friends come to watch or play and it's super fun! This week has been mainly get to know the people here and also a sector closed here and we inherited a big part of it so we've had fun getting to know the new area. I'm excited for the adventures that we're going to have!
