6/30/14

Hola from the actually field!!!
Goodness alot has happened in the past two weeks! I left the CCM or MTC on tuesday so I wasnt able to write but I hope you got emails from my pres! It was crazy actually leaveing the ccm I was sad because I love all the people there they have been so amazing and i have learned so much from them but I was also ready to go and get out and get to work!! My mtc pres was really good at giving us motivated talks to get out and starte baptising and that we could do anything. On my last day at the ccm I asked the elders in my district to give me a blessing it was an amazing experince this was my frist blessing that wasnt from my dad or a leader but it reafirmed my testimony that the pristhood is real they could not have known all the things they said and known what i needed. I have grown so close to them all and It was so cool having them all circle around and give me the blessing! they will be great elders!!
Then out I go to get my conpanion which I have been waiting for, for a while!! But of course they had to put me at the very end of everyone else! My conpaions name is Hermana Diaz she is from El Salvador she speaks both english and spanish thank goodness answer to my prays! She is amazing so happy and has a great sense of humor. I am soo happy to have her and that she knows what to do and where to go cuz I would be so lost with out her! Im like a little puppy following her all around cuz i have no idea where Im going or doing! At first everything is so new and different i feel like im kinda settling in now! Every day we have all the study time in the morning along with exercise then we have lunch at a members house who cooks for us just one meal a day then we go to our area. My area is Marganta #1 Its a big area because before I was here there were two sets of sisters but now its just us. We live in a nice place but to get to the top of our area we have to take buses and tutus they are like little motorbike taxis! Goodness the buses are crazy here they are basicly old school busses painted bright colors and they add extra rales on the ceiling and in the front for people to hold on to cuz they shove tons of people on the buses there is no such thing has personal space. so the buses are full to the top and the bus drivers are crazy drivers you have to hang tight! Im glad we dont drive here cuz they are crazy! Its really humbling being here and seeing how people live there are some homes that have dirt floors and tin houses but they are all so nice and caring when you meet people we kiss cheeks of the sisters and shake hands of the brothers! I am loving it here its so beautiful and green with big mountains most of our area we are walking up big hills! Teaching people has been good I am soo grateful for a conpainon to not have to teach all by my self most the time she just looks to me to give my testimony but im getting better at jumping in when i know what is going on and know what to say! We have 3 people we hope to get baptized on the 19 of july. The main problem that we run into trying to get people to attend church  because they have school on sunday. Its crazy these kids work all week and they only have saturday and sunday to go to school. I kinda feel bad asking them to do more when they already do so much! we have two girls that are progressing and they are asking for to go to church i hope it works!
Sundays are our busiest day we got up early to go to all our investigators houses to get them to go to church all before 8 o clock church! We ended up spending 35 Quets just to get everyone to church and home cuz we helped some of the investigators some! Its crazy the costs down here to ride the bus is 2Q a person to take a tutu is 5Q its 8Q to a dollar! We ended up taking 4 kids to church with us. One of the kids is our investigators and he brought all his friends it was crazy all of us pilling into one tutu its only a two seater thing i was worried about them falling off! They were so rowdy! After church my conpanion had to take to the secertary so I was left to try to keep them all together and still dont know words in spanish so we started playing what is this in english it worked for like two minutes but it was a good day we ended up with 13 investigators at church!
Its kinda crazy I have never been one that liked all the atention but here i get a lot everyday my conpainion says your really blonde or your pale! Every where I go people are staring its crazy they say I have yellow hair and that Im barbie! It may be a good thing cuz people listen to us but also a bad thing! I cant wait til I can speak spanish more and understand everything!
This all so new but the cool thing is since Ive been out here I have felt safe and really scared. I am adjusting ok to missionary work! I know im where i am supose to be I know with time spanish will come and ill be better at teaching going up to strangers and talking to them all the things i need to do to be the best missionary! Im so grateful for that I can be out here serving and Im so grateful for my family that I was blessed to grow up in the church i love you all!!

6/17/2014

HELLO!!! This is going to be my last message form the CCM in
Guatemala. Oh my goodness its gone by fast i cant believe i have been
out for a month!!! Sorry about the mix up of Pdays my district and the
other norte district got to go out and visit this cool 3d guatemala
map, go to wendys, a market and see the president residences!! It was
sooo nice to be outside and to walk outside of the small rectangle we
have been in for the last month i was so excited to just get on the
bus!! i sent some pictures that a Missionary couple took of us! It was
so cool to see guatemala and drive through because its most likley
going to be where my mission is. We went to this big market it was so
cool all the stuff they were selling all the colors but it was also
nerve racking cuz we have been in a building with gaurds and gates for
the last month but it was fine we stayed in groups there was some
amazing stuff there that i probably will fill my bags with when i come
home! Then we went to wendys there we learned how to order in spanish
and some how i ended up with two frostys but it was soo good! Then we
went to the President residents the buildings looked like the hunch
back of notradom the old church look with the bells and there were
pigions everywhere! This is where we got to pass out books of mormon!
Oh how scarey it was we have been practicing but now it was real
world!! Three conpaionships of my elders all gave out books of mormon
i was so proud of them!! I wasnt able to give out BOM i talked to a
lady for a min but she didnt really wanna talk. Its so crazying
thinking about who to go up I cant wait til I have a conpanion that
will come with me and help me cuz the other sisters were to nervous to
try. It was really cool experince because made us realize what we are
working for! PS all our leaders were so proud of our group cuz we were
the first to ask to give out BOM! Then we went to the temple and we
were all so tired it was hard to stay awake but it was worth it and im
so happy to have the temple so close and have been able to go has much
has i have! Its such an amazing feeling i hope ill be able to go on my
mission most likley cuz its in my mission!! Its so crazy to think this
time next week i will be leaving and actually going out in the field
im very nerouse because i still have so much to learn but im also
really excited and kinda ready at least to be out doing and looking
and not the same things every day! I have loved it here though! There
is a Mission couple The berbics the hermana is the mtc nurse she is an
amazing lady. i have got to know her really well cuz we teach together
on sundays cuz i dont have conpaion i want to be like her and go on a
mision with my husband doing two things i love they are so cute
together everyday they say i have the best conpaion! I have loved it
here and i know i still have alot to learn but i am getting better at
teaching and i understand more spanish then i can talk but i hope to
be fluent by the time i get back and be able to roll my tonge!! love
you next time ill write from the feild!! yay!! Love Hemana Boully!

6/9/14 Sister N Boully

Hello family!!!
So my pday got changed this week because we are going out tomorrow! I am soo excited!! Honestly Im just excited to be outside! We get to go to the downtown of Guatemala and a market place and we get to go to wendys oh my goodness!!! Not that the food here is bad actualy it is soooo good and always so different we are aloud to have 1 ice cream at lunch and that its soo yummy! we are so spoiled here! You know how we where worried about me being burned the only chance is the two min walk to the temple last tuesday and that is pretty exciting! So this week has gone by really fast I am getting better at teaching half of the time I teach investigators /they are fake/ I have one of my teachers has my conpanion she is amazing and so much fun! I never knew how nice just having someone there was i know why were are suspose to go two by two! one of my lessons i was teaching a investigator and she offered us fake coffee in these cone cups they give us but it was like oh uh we havent taught this lesson yet!! I did like it cuz it felt more real! Also this week they put in a tv in the gym so we started doing work out videos last pday we started doing T25 with Presdent cox and its somthing to have a 62 year old beating your butt. it was so funny him being the instructor and kept us all going and they are hard i was so sore we did for 4 days stairt i loved it! this week went by so fast it feels like we just got these new girls now they are leaving out to the mission and also my roomates hermana sansberry and logan are leaving im going to miss them but they are so excited to go! Now im going to be the oldest Hermana here and i gotta lead the way and i only have two more weeks left thats soo crazy!!!! We are going to be getting 35 north americans this week thats soo crazy! Im so happy i was able to come to this mtc i have loved how small it is cuz we get so much attenion like on sundays all the north americans we get to go up to pres. and hermana coxes aprt and have a home evening and treats! we wont have that anymore!
Its so funny what we get excited for now on sunday we got to watch the legacy a church movie and it was like a lds notebook it was so funny to make fun of but it was the most romanic movie i think we are going to get! I love being out here it is lots of fun but it is also really stressfull somedays it feels like i know some spanish then someone comes up to me and start talking and its like what!! But i am getting better and i know its were i need to be so i need to work harder to learn spanish! I love my elders in my district they are so amazing last wesday we had a testimony meeting about why we came on a mission and it was such a amazing feeling and also a good reminder why we are here because sometimes we get caught up in all the hard stuff we need to do! somtimes its hard like i have personal study at 6.30 then gym sometimes its hard getting up in the morning and staying focused in my study cuz there is no free time here but in know i can get better and has i do things will get better love you all!!

6/3/2014 Sister N Boully

HOLA!!!! I know that work for sure and si cuz that is most likely my
answer when someone is talking to me! But for reals i am getting
better at spanish. We got a whole new group of missionaries this last
week here there are two groups with different schdueles and it just
happened that my district is the only north american group soo im the
only north american sister but because of it I have to learn spanish
cuz i sit with all the latina sisters and they have been so amazing
everyday they are teaching me new words and they all great me with a
smile and a hug. I am soo gratiful for their love and help its funny
hearing me try to talk to them. Funny story i was praticing body parts
with them but they wanted to know what was belly button and we had a
couple of miscomunication and they thought belly button was a funny
name! Early this week we had the rededication of the CCM because the
building has been redone and me and my district and my two roomates
got to sing for it. it was an amazing experiance the song was
beautiful and we made people cry! I loved the feeling there.! This
week i also got new teachers and they started taking turns being my
conpanion which is nice because i am learning more spanish and
somtimes they are going to teach with me yay! sometimes its confusing
though because i will start to plan my lesson with one teacher but
then switch and they will teach a different way, but its great to
learn from others experiances! I love sundays they are the best here
and p days! This last fast sunday we all got to bear our testimonies
they were all only for a min but it was an amazing feeling to see all
these missionaries bear their testimonies and i loved seeing all the
elders in my group get up and share their testimonies! I P days are
the best because we get to go the the temple and relax some! I love
you all!! the church is true!!

5/27/14 Email & Pics!

Sorry for delay in posting, but here is Sister N. Boully's last email and pictures.

Hoooolaa!! i am soo happy it is my p day right now I have p days on
tuesday it may change they spilt up the missionaries pdays here.
Sundays and Tuesdays are my favorite days of the week! This week has
been kinda hard but also good learning spanish makes me feel like i
was back in second grade i feel like my expericnec here at the ccm is
forcing me to become stronger. In my district group i am the only
hermana but i love my elder they are fun but in a compainion way!! I
always get asked when i am going to the bathroom where is your
companion and i answer this is my compainion holly ghost! Also funny
thing that happened we had a lesson about DC 34 i think going two by
two teaching the word and the teacher asked who was the first to
organize this and one of the elders answered noah! I have been
teaching with two elders in a three some but now i am teaching by my
self and i am now teaching my teachers playing investigators and its
kinda hard just being me teaching and not wanting to let my amazing
teachers down but i am getting better yersterday when i taught i used
the words i knew and i know how to bear my testimony and say a pray
soo what else do i need_ just kidding but my main goal is to talk loud
and confident and practice has much has i can! Yesterday all the
missionaries but my district and one other left the ones who have been
here for 2 weeks and the 6 week sisters that i have gotten to be with
most the time they are in the pictures i sent out side the temple. It
is a amazing feeling to be with all these other missionaries that we
all choose to come out here we all have different trials but we are
all working together to suceed to be good missionaries. I made so many
friends of the latina sisters that knew some english that would always
help me and teach me new words i love them soo much!! There was a day
that i was having a hard day and one of the sisters that left gave me
a talk by jefferey r holland called an high priest of good things to
come its a good talk and i recomend it! I also was reading in alma 34
it talks about how sometimes we need to be humbled by our affictions
so that we can be taught. I know that is what is happening to me.
Sunday we got to watch the Joseph smith movie that they play at temple
square that was the first time i had seen it after going to navuoo. He
is a great example of going through hard times and enduring to the end
but what stuck out to me thinking of the waiting time before he got
the plates it doesnt talk about it to much but he did have to prepare
him self. I know right now i am being taught and being humbled for the
field and i know it will be worth it. To be able to get out there are
serve and be able to speak in spanish and say all the lord wants me to
say. I love you all and i want to say that I know things get hard but
there is always someone around to bring you up wether it be the
sisters around or our heavenly father who is always watching! love
you! by the way my p day is tuesday i think but it may change we are
getting a bunch of new missionaries tomorrow! also can you belive i
will only write 3 more times then i will be out oh my goodness love
you all!
